Hi Grand Wazoo

I listen mainly to concerts on DVD or BD Eric clapton Adele ELO Genesis sting Jeff Beck Pink F Dianne Krall etc. And starting to get some Jazz stuff lately must be age related:scratch:
I currently run RMB1095 Marantz SR8500 with burson super regulotors and opamp modules for Left Right Centre and Sub with it's own massive toroidal Transformer to supply them with lots of clean power.
REL Strata Subwoofer with Velodyne SMS1:)
Paradigm Sudio 60 V5 and Signature C3 centre
Paradigm Monitor 5 for rear and have some AAD rears and extra AAD bipolar on side running of old kenwood as add in for 7.1.
Cambridge audio BD751.
ACRyan media box.
LG Plasma 50" but miss my series 7 40" samsung which is smaller and now in bedroom.
Use DC blockers which made huge difference on my system due to noisy power and DC on line.
Make my own cables from Van Damme pro grade classic XKE and nutrik gold plugs with great success after trying all sorts. This stuff is also very thin and helps keep things tidy.
The room it is all in is our main lounge but the system rules as in it's there for being listened too watched and not for the kids to play in

Hi Ed, welcome to AoS from me as well :) Looks like you like Paradigm & multichannel as well, join the club :)

Only on discs encoded with surround sound, I can't stand any of these pseudo surround modes :eyebrows:

I'm ashamed to say I still have a Paradigm Signature C5 centre channel speaker sitting in it's box brand new

But then DIY kind of does things like that :D

Bests to you, hope you enjoy your stay here

Hi Reid

Wow a C5 get it out and use it I love the C3 at the time the C5 looked out of place under the 40" TV now I regret not getting the C5. I guess the upgrade path will alway's cause the if only I had:doh:
Ditto on the pseudo surround modes.
DTS HD rules they are getting better and better at making HT recordings.
Yet I've noticed that the BD751 has put new live into some of our old DVD's like Peter gabriel Growing Up sounds great when played in the Cambridge player but a bit flat when using digital out into the Marantz. guess the decoders in the Cambridge are a bit better :)
