Yonks ago I actually bought this album. After purchasing it from HMV in Meadowhall (Sheffield) I put it on in the car... Cassette too!!!
The album starts off with pure static/distortion and after the first few minutes I was convinced that good ol' Lou would kick in with some V.U-esque beat or something on the Transformer style.
... After 10 mins the wait was becoming a little tiresome, still playing static/distortion/white noise, no beat, no music... Hmmm
... After 20 mins of side A guess what... Kshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
... FF a little... Kshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
... Flip over to side B... Kshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
... FF/Que and kept my finger on - Jesuz wept... Kshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
... Fade out.
Apparently Lou reed's record company dropped him after that release.
So... has anyone else experienced this album? - It's great!!!
