Apologies I have been a bit remiss in posting on the welcome. To be honest I thought I had done it ages ago. Anyway, enough excuses...
Like others, I am always looking for ways to improve the sound of my system without spending a fortune. I have followed AOS for a while but it really got my interest with the great advice from Gazjam and others on passive modding my Caiman DAC which made a huge difference to the sound.
Earlier this year I got a nice Squeezebox Touch to replace my venerable SB3 but was disappointed with the sound - more of the same. But recently I have been following the threads on Sounchecks TT3.0 and Triode's Enhanced Digital Output. EDO v0.7 has been fantastic in my system.
My entire collection is ripped as FLAC from my CDs and albums which now languish in my garage. I listen to a wide selction of musicical styles and Radio Paradise. My current favourite is Chris Wood's Handmade Life.
Inevitably, I am looking for the next improvement and like many others expectantly waiting hear Stan's Bushmaster DAC, which I am hoping will be another step-up from the Caiman (which IMHO only really came alive with the passive modding).
