Don't know about records but I have a Rufus Wainwright CD that comes very close to making an acquaintance with my refuse disposal.

Didn't bin but gave all my Status Quo LPs away after they released 'Blue for you'

I love Lindsey Buckingham as a player/musician. I love the Buckingham/Nicks album as well as all that era Fleetwood Mac. But... I tried to get into his Seeds We Sow release and just couldn't do it. Incredibly good and stylistic guitar playing as always; however, despite trying to like it, as a whole, it left me flat. I passed it on, yesterday. Hopefully, it will land in the hands of someone who will enjoy it.

I threw away a CD of Eric Clapton once. Total accident, it was brand new and in the wrapping and somehow I scooped it up with the rubbish and chucked it. I realised what I had done the next day when I looked for it but the binmen had been by then. That still pisses me off a bit...it was only £3.99 or something but the sheer waste of a mint item, still brand new in the wrapper going to a landfill.

Can't recall even considering the possibility - it would be like binning part of myself, if I bought it deliberately then it's me. I can't throw books away either, the house is full of stuff...

For this reason I still have The Shadows 20 Golden Greats LP from the late 70s.

Just a point. But does anyone actualy bin records/cds? Better to give to a charity shop or seperate the cardboard/paper and plastic for recycling. There's probably a loan Chas and Dave fan on ebay waiting for the OP's record. :)
