Philips Motor

This Turntables turning into a nightmare, it very nearly turned into flying Debris yesterday :lol: I need a Philips '9904 111 32311' motor, does anyone know where i can get one without being ripped of with excessive postage from the big mail order companies?

I think I might have one at home. I'll have a look in the morning (don't finish work until 10 pm :( ). I'm pretty sure it's the same as the one we used in the Heybrook TT2. That number certainly looks familiar.

Hi Shane, no it's smaller than the Airpax motors.. It's from a 1973 ERA turntable that sems to allow me to stop the motor dead in it's tracks by just pressing on the pulley.

Interestingly, that's exactly what I used for the first lash-up that became the TT2, along with the platter and bearing. It was an ERA 3033, but I'm afraid it's motor went the way of all things years ago. ERA had a number of wacky ideas, I particularly liked the 444, which had an I-beam section pick-up arm with spring-steel strips for the vertical bearings. Sounded awful, but it was a brilliant conversation peice!
