Looking for Deep Bass tracks

I am trying to find some tracks with deep bass, especially of the type that your speakers struggle to even register. Someone mentioned that I should look for 128' pipe organs as an example. I have enough reggae music with deep bass, but I need more than just the monotonous bass line that reggae music tend to consist of.
I need to do a wider range of low level frequency response testing on the Bushmaster DAC. I have a couple of 1812 variants already, so you can skip mentioning those :).

Marco will love this one :eyebrows: I'm trying to find the second version of it from the album of the same name, track 16. If it's on Spotify I recommend you give it a blast as there is a hell of a lot of 15Hz high level bass on nearly the whole track. I'm not kidding :eek:

I have it in FLAC. And it is indeed quite good for bass tests. But it doesn't go low enough ;). I got some classical tracks with pipe organs that make my floor boards creek :eek:. I have no idea who conducted them, which is a great pity. I am sure a few people would be interested in them as well. I'll try to set up the app on my phone that can recognize the track info.

I am trying to test for clarity, purity, and definition below 30Hz. My twin 12" JBL subwoofer has experienced such abuse for a while :D. Mind you headphone listening has not been too bad either. I am getting to respect those Denon D7000 more and more. None of my other cans are capable of going as low as the D7000, even my HD800.

You need the Ruffatti Organ in Davies Symphony Hall. It's one of the most powerful organs in the world. The subterranean bass on this recording is tuneful and creates extreme vibrations in my system.

The Widor is the piece to really get things moving.

That's one hell of a test track :eek:. I shall have to see on eBay if I can find the CD box set. The youtube file and mp3 download are quite outstanding, but I suspect the lossless CD file would be even better.

Thanks for all the suggestions :). I now have enough material to do some serious listening tests in the bass region. What I have found out so far is that you need a fast amp to handle seriously low bass from a digital file. I'll tarts a topic on that so that this one is not taken off topic.

I reckon there are enough highly functional lug holes and grey matter on this forum to start a reference lexicon for describing hi-fi, assuming we can form a concensus of opinion on some of the more contentious terms ;) - I have no wish to start a series of mini objective versus subjective wars :rolleyes: .
It is something that many members could contribute to, discuss and agree and then our librarian could compile the dictionary and add it to the reference section. Done properly it might even become the 'bible' in audiophile circles - t'would be nice to have everyone agree on such definitions.

I like that idea, Dave. An agreed (at least, by the majority) lexicon of terms that can be applied and referenced by members so that common understanding can be achieved. Phrases like 'night and day' banned. Etc. :)

That THX subwoofer test is going to be handy for me. I got a THX subwoofer from JBL, and it can do some real damage accoridng to my next door neighbour.

I haven't seen mention of Trente Moller - The Last Resort - yet. That always gives a system a nice wringing out.

Touch by Yello also tests systems to destruction if not careful, especially if you can get hold of the special edition with DVD. The final 6 tracks of the se version are some of the best recorded tracks out there.

Redshift can outdo Tangerine Dream most times now if you can find any left :-) Halo is really the darker side of the Moog, especially when the modular kicks in.

One final for now - American Beauty OST, well recorded, and very, very low..
track one even manages to bottom out my C4's if I crank it up.
