Any recommendations for the above, i don't want that horrible looking silver sheet, it's to damp a metal turntable inside but has to look professional even though i can't see it :D

Should be able to obtain some bitumen pads at your local car spares shop.
The rest is down to you, and I'm pretty confident that a tidy job will be done :D

pretty sure WICKES do similar in the building supply dept , could be cheaper than car parts

Hi,

The ones I used on a Thorens 160 and AR in the late 70s were Bostik that I got from a car shop. They were commonly used- still have them! But no idea what they're like now.
