Wanted: Tuner

I'm after a good but cheap tuner (Arcam, Denon, Marantz etc...)

Just want FM/AM duties. Got it all on iTunes/Internet radio but miss the sound from a decent tuner.

Want to spend as little as possible :p

Way too much £££

Denon TU260 Mk II's can be picked up on the bay for less than £20 and they're a superb tuner...

Just wanted to see what else is out there...

I just bought a Marantz St4000 on eBay for £29 and it's a lovely machine for the money. The st6000 is even better, but rarer.

The cheapo Denon 260 is fine with all the compressed rubbish that gets broadcast in the UK these days. The times of really high quality FM have all but gone since I understand the FM signal is now derived from the DAB streams... :(

I also wholeheartedly agree about the Arcam and Rotel tuners. Safe as houses, cheap and plentiful, they should easily see FM out as it sputters with a whimper to its end.........
