Hi guys, I would greatly appreciate some help.
I lost the left channel on one of my 1200LTD's today, knowing they haven’t been moved or unplugged since last working I assumed the worst :doh:
Upon strip down I noticed rather than an expected RCA fault, one of the wires that runs inside the tonearm has snapped (BLUE) and one is about to follow (BLACK).
Sadly it makes sense as I noticed a while back my vinyl rips had a slightly lower volume on the left channel.
Being the LTD gold tonearm, complete replacement is unlikely at a sensible price. Even if it was, my inspection has left me wanting to replace the quite frankly naff standard wiring with something a bit sexy :eyebrows:
I'm greased lightning with a soldering iron, so no worries there :lol:
I don’t want to make any modification's to make the new stuff fit. So no drilling or generally bastardising my beloved decks, de-solder/re-solder please.
What upgrade cabling would you suggest? No £1000 options please. Although I appreciate a decent quality product and of course sound quality, ultra high end would be a waste for my set-up. Plus I have to buy twice so the other turntable match's. I have been looking at this:

I havent fully stripped the tone arm out yet, but I do have a premature question if I may.
5x 'cores' dissapear inside the tonearm, yet theres only 4x contacts headshell end? Whats going on there? I take it 1 is an earth/ground? If so this needs to be considered with cable choice. I'm looking for as close to a direct replacement as possible, just better quality.
You can see what I'm facing, so any help thrown in my general direction would be met with a hero's welcome! :)
