View Full Version : Hi
Hi I'm new to your forum but been into hifi for a couple of decades now :D. Current set up is an ARC5, ARC LS27, Krell 2250 and Proac D28. Just moved into a new house with a big lounge (which sold it for me) so now looking to upgrade the speakers.
Looks like a great site
Hi Mike - welcome to AoS. Presume you're Australian - or possibly a wizard - maybe both? ;)
What's your musical tastes? Enjoy the new listening room, and finding speakers. :)

Hi Mike, welcome to AoS from me as well :) I also have both ARC & Krell equipment & wouldn't part with any of them :D
Wise choice on possibly changing the speakers before anything else :eyebrows:
Hope you enjoy your stay here, you'll find us all pretty friendly
Polish descent actually ;)
Mainly Rock and fairly mainstream. The set up sounds a lot better in this larger room but I've found that I've lost a lot of bass. It's an L shaped lounge with the large square measuring 19 x 18. The Proacs seem a little out of their depth
Gosh - 19 x 18 is a great size, but very square... I think the Proacs are definitely a little on the small side. Start a new thread asking for suggestions - sit back and watch 100 different ones whizz in! ;)
Short list is Wilson Sophia 2 or Proac Carbon Pros. Big outlay though so I need to get it right

Hi Mike,
Welcome to AoS
Yep I'm aware of those CP8s and have actually met up with Kev for an audition - and they were awesome  I'm still undecided though as I can buy Wilsons for less - the CPs are a bit out of my budget.
Btw I live in Walton on Thames. Cheers, Mike
