A holiday post :)

We have been to Treshnish farm on the Isle of Mull for a holiday for many years as we like the peace and quiet and the wildlife. It's just so remote.

I noticed today on their website they have some cancellations which is rare as normally need to book a year ahead to get a holiday here.

An ideal opportunity if anyone can get the time off work at short notice :)

Link to the homepage is here.

We stay in the largest of the properties called 'Studio' , it is excellent and available according to the message on the home page from Friday 11th May and Friday 18th May.

availability chart is here:
(The empty white boxes are available dates)

There is internet access in the library on the farm so you can plug your laptop in and keep in touch.

Prices here which are reasonable for a week.

Google maps location: ( it's remote :) )

The owners have a blog and the view at the top of the blog page is just as it is in real life, beautiful.

Sunsets most nights seen from the 'Studio' conservatory windows:

To get to Mull book a ferry from Oban to Craignure (the Mull ferry terminal) with Calmac:

If you have never been to one of the islands it is worth going.

Midges can be a problem in Summer but May is before the midge season usually.

In the same day you might see snakes, basking sharks, otters, sheep :), wild mountain goats, white tailed sea eagles (they are HUGE) , lots of deer and best of all not many people at all. :D

A random video found on youtube that shows a bit of wildlife:

That looks amazing

I think I could put up with it for a few weeks, well I would if I could get there :eyebrows:

I'm just attempting to remember when I last had a holiday, I'd class that as over a 2 or 3 day break & not here, but somewhere else.... Let me think

How about pre 1982 & I'm not kidding :(

You will have to have a holiday one day, sell some of those amplifiers or charge for your technical support :)

Oh yes, it's a beautiful part of the world and no need to queue at airports to get there.

If anyone reading here booked it and needs any tips for Mull just ask.

A Deer too lazy to stand up, it was raining. The Camera exif data says that I was 25 metres away from the deer :) ( You have to be sneaky to get that close)

 Money isn't the problem... Not holding a car driving license is, as well as paranoia about leaving the house & it's contents... Kind of keeps me at home

I'm in no way agoraphobic either :eyebrows:

You could find a house sitter to guard your gear and not touch it , they would have plenty of films to watch :D
