Can't believe nobody has mentioned the passing of Bert Weedon!

I read about his passing whilst I was in Japan. At the time I was not able to post, but assumed someone else would - it seems not.
Weedon might not have been a ground breaking guitarist or have had a charasmatic stage presence (as Wilco Johnson unkindly put it: "he was a bit like the embarassing uncle at a wedding"), however his guitar book "Play in a Day", started off many British guitarists who later would go on to achieve great things.
You might have heard of some of them: Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Brian May, and both Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
Bert now joins his close friend of long standing, Jim Marshall for that Great Gig in the Sky.
