Am returning to hi-fi after 10 years in the wilderness. As an early adopter of streaming audio I ripped all my music to 256kbps mp3 and threw out the Linn when my first son was born. It was just more convenient that way.
Things have changed quite a bit in the last few years. Apparently you can now have your battenberg and eat it, so after a brief scout around the classifieds I am now the owner of a Dacmagic, Nait 3 and pair of Mission 751s, all covetted items from my college days when frankly there were better things to spend money on.
And unsurprisingly I am loving it. CDs are back out again for lossless re-ripping. Albums I've not listened to for years are being rediscovered. And I'm starting to become interested in cables and other nonsense. Hence the forum registration.
