I looked at it all and thought, if anything happened to me, how would anyone get rid of all this? Then, is it possible to simplify to single boxes and still get near the pleasure? So I went from 552/500/CDS3/Obelisks to Wadia/Lavardin IT/Harbeth. Reduced box count, a different presentation, but no great loss of satisfaction.

Mark, you're slowly, ever so slowly, catching me up, 30 years!!! :)

For me the older Naim gear, if well looked after and I've had mine from new, gives me the musical pleasure I want. The NAC72, properly fettled, is a great little pre-amp taking up very little house space.
