Just received the brand new MCA-11 moving coil pre-amp from Albarry Music.

This little beauty is a moving-coil step to work in conjunction with a quality MM phono stage. The object of this device is to load and increase the output from a MC cartridge to a level where it can be fed into a phono stage.

I have now used it with a variety of MC cartridges and it is extremely good indeed.

The price is £500 inc VAT and I now have it on demo along with the wonderful Albarry M608 mono-blocks.

Have you tried this into the MM stage of a Croft pre yet Dave?

Goes without saying. The Croft Micro R was the first off the shelf and the combination works really well, comfortable seeing off many megabuck phono stages I have used.

Both Albarry and Croft really know how to make 'world class' amplifiers without ripping you off.
