Hello from France to you all.

My English will probably look and sound weird from time to time so please be kind enough to share your laughs !!!

My current set is : Harbeth SHL5; Audionet Art G2; Vpi SCout and .... no amp.

I am in the process of buying a new (not literally, can be used) one and will be fishing soon for pieces of advice.

Hi Didier,
Welcome to AoS, it's nice to have you here. What amp or amps are you considering & what sort of music do you like?

Cheers

Hi Didier,

Music comes first: mostly pop, jazz and classical, not mentioning world music !!!
To be serious, my record collection is around 2500 or so now (2/3 Cds; 1/3 LPs). I like pop from 70's Canterbury sound (Caravan , Soft Machine and followers) to the Boo Radleys or Wilco, that's about 40 % of my records (amongst those a large selection of FZ including bootlegs and rarities).

Regarding classical, I am a big fan of 17th century (Purcell, Haendel, Rameau, Vivaldi and others) and for jazz, I am pleased with anything apart New Orleans sound and "Avant-garde".

For the amplifiers, after a lot of changes (Rega, Simaudio, Odyssey, EAR, Halcro, Pass, Leben, Lyngdorf), I want now to go to simplicity and I'm considering LFD, Sonneteer and Croft.

This is the Harbeth way to wisdom ;)
