I'm looking for a pair of 2TB SATA hard drives. 2 years ago I was able to get a pair for £120 delivered. Since the flooding in the Far East prices have rocketed, but seem to be coming back down.
Best price I've found is £79.98 delivered from Novatech (http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/sataover1tb/st2000dl003.html).
Can anyone do better than that? Speed isn't important, these drives are for archiving. I need 2 because I'm going to RAID I them.
I'm in exactly the same boat Nick, I need 2 x 2TB for a NAS. Cheapest I have found are £80.99 from Ebuyer, so your price is pretty good. They are the same drives as well, Seagate Barracuda Green's.
I will let you know if I find any better - I reckon another couple of months and they could be back to where there were, or close. Doubt they will get below due to higher fuel and distribution costs now :(

The Amazon price is about the same today at £79.63 ( that may change hourly :) )

In August 2011 that drive was £54.55 on Amazon, In November 2011 it was £137.99
Good to see the prices getting back to acceptable levels. :)

This can be helpful when looking for the best deals:

Those are good prices. Many vendors have still not come down from >£100. Ebuyer are good but Amazon gives you Nectar points :eyebrows:
Was looking at my current PC build invoice, 500GB was £30, 1TB was £40 and the 2TB was £56 (all Samsung). I think it will be a while before we get back to those levels, but it's a step in the right direction. I'll probably get a pair of the 3TB disks for my next build.
