I must of missed the arrival of the new spotify button but can anyone tell me how to embed a Spotify link using the new button, i have tried to find the share tab or code and can only find a twatter sharing tab with something that resembles a code and that don't seem to work :scratch:

In Spotify, right click a track, album or playlist and select 'Copy Spotify URI'. Paste that into a post with SP tags, or use the Spotify button under 'Go Advanced'.

Jon, you just need to paste the spotify:album:1CE2LKHcDf4rQmdF2GegUd bit into the SP tags :)

At last, because i'm a bit special and left handed as well i tend to delete from back to front to most people thus taking out to much code as it alters the text as it's deleting if that makes sense :mental:

You can grab the right bit of code in the Spotify app by right clicking on a track or album etc and selecting 'Copy Spotify URI', half way down in the pic below... Easy! :scratch:

Go to Spotify and right click on the album
Right click and Copy Link Address in Chrome

Right click the name of the album, track or playlist Mike. A context menu should appear with Copy Spotify URI appearing somewhere around the middle of the menu ;)

Me and my computer don't have that
Right click on album and I have
Open link in new tab
Open link in new window
Open link in incognito window
Save link as....
Copy link address
Inspect element

PC, Chrome on W7

or am I missing the bleedin obvious ?

I like a life as simple as possible and as I installed all sorts on previous pcs I want to keep this work pc as clean as I can so some thought required before I install
