Hi

My name is jamie and im from malvern, worcestershire

Im more of a home cinema buff than 2 channel but have just started
a job that deals with both so looking for advice & opinions on a number of topics.

A friend (hamish) recommended this site so thought id give it a try

My current home cinema setup is a Sony 2400ES amp with a Moinitor audio RS Series spekers (RS8 front, RS Centre & RS1 rears) No Sub as of yet, Using QED XTC speaker cable & QED Reference HDMI between my Amp, Bluray (Sony BDP-780) & TV (Sony KDL46HX803)

Music taste is mainly Rock & Roll or a bit of motown.

Cheers for now

J!
I saw the "Hi from Jamie" ... Thought "could be" ... Saw Jamiepg23 ... It had to be! And it is! (although not sure what the 23 represents?? Wishful thinking??)

If anyone has ever got any advice about TV's off me on here it's probably come from this guy... Although he does prefer LCD to plasma ... No ones perfect though eh?
This is the chap I used to work with at sight 2 sound ...

Come to learn about hifi have we? New job pressures?? ;)

I don't think a year has past I haven't thought your birthday was on the 24th ... Thought you might have got the numbers of your age the wrong way round ;)

... Your still not right about LCD vs plasma ... But I'll give you better tv related knowledge ... Just bad taste to go with it ;)
Seems funny simplifying god knows how many hours of arguing about tvs in to a few words on a forum ... ;)

So your de going to Prague then? Jammy fecker!

I will pop over to Hereford and see the you at the new job ... Do you stock audiolab? I'd quite like to hear the m-dac at some point! I'm a bit out of the upgradeistis I used to have with it all ... Just intrigue mostly these days, but that's one thing that a good few people have told me I should hear!

I agree with you that the best plasma on the market is an awesome TV but i just think that for most peolpe that LCD/LED is a better choice.
And we didnt argue, we just had heated discussions

And yes we do audio lab, had an m-Dac come though the other day for an order, do a lot of there range & they sell well.

Having a play with it all tuesday, will let you know.

And yeah i am a jammy fecker, but nice to be sent on a few training days after the way i got treated previously :(

Show me a 21/9 Plasma & I might be interested, otherwise no way

I'll stick with LCD thanks, I like my TV & it's picture :eyebrows:

I don't really have much of a view on what's better these days .. I'm too out of touch to comment ... But when it comes to talking about it with Jay... Plasma is best LCD is shit! It's almost tradition that I take that stance...

Jay, you should see if your boss wants a trade account on here ... I think some of the trade members do quite well here!
