What about this one (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17379) that wobbleu is selling?

Try having a listen to the Cambridge 640P phono stage. I don't know if its still in production, but there are plenty around second hand. I've not heard better under £100 and the various reviews seem to back this up. I bought one out of curiosity and compared it to the Pro Ject Tube Box SE, the EAR 834P and the Graham Slee ERA V Gold and it came surprisingly close in ability. It also works rather well with low output moving coil cartridges as well as regular magnetic types -- very handy. It is also very quiet, no hum! Its a bargain. Regards, Walpurgis (Geoff).

Hi,
This one is a big hit at Audiokarma http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=371889
I have built this and very happy with the sound. It has a resistive cart loading and performs better than many high end phonostages. It can be built under $100.

l would second the CA 640P, a musical and good sounding phono stage, would disagree with Geoffrey about the MC capability though.
