Hi Guys,
Hopefully this is the right place to post this but if not, Mods feel free to reposition it :) .
I have a HA10 headphone amp and a buffer amp that is a Chinese copy of the Musical Fidelity X10D buffer amp. Both use the same valves, 1 in the HA10 and 2 in the MF X100 clone. I have received the following quote from HK, for 3 pieces, including a pair matched for the psuedo MF X100 - these prices are each, plus shpping etc (and duty etc if HMRC get involved :steam: ).
"Philips Jan 6922 Made in USA @US$17 each
Philips E88CC SQ Gold Pin Made in Holland @US$100 each
Amperex 6922 Gold Pin Made in USA @US$40 each
Amperex ECC88/6DJ8 Made in Holland @US$40 each
RCA 6922 Gold Pin Made in USA @US$55 each
Sylvania GB6922 Gold Pin made in USA @US$50 each
Mullard ECC88/6DJ8 made in Gt. Britain @US$35 each
Sylvania Jan 6DJ8 Made in USA @US$20 each"
Is anyone able to offer which represents the 'best bang for the buck' amongst these, or offer to match or beat these prices, or alternatively offer better 'bang for buck' alternatives.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Dave.
