Today I went out for a HiFi "dem" I'm trying to get my hobby back again & it's Spring! a few days back It was recommended I try the Primare integ. amp so as HiFi shops are always willing to "show off" I thought its time to go out for a listen .. after listening to the Primare I thought, nope thats not it -- no warmth, sooo I thought warmth - thermionic - VALVES!!! I listened to a pair of Beard monoblocks yonks ago -- they were goodI
I had a listen to a 3grand amp -- wow that was superb, may be of my era & thats the way to go, it reminded me of my Krell & with pretty lights!!
Now I leave it open to you super boffins out there to give me some names so I can follow up
I sorta understand valves as my first tech apprenticeship project was to build a valve amp from scratch
I open the warm floor to you!:ner:

Rogue Audio.. I use it and love mine!.

Not sure what your budget is, but something like the Stereo 90, or the M-150 or M-180 monoblocks are very good VFM, and well supported.

Tsakiridis Devices. I use a pair of the Apollos myself.

+1 for the Tsakiridis devices. Exceptional sound and very well priced for what is on offer.
Otherwise, in my experience and on the well priced/performance front, something from the likes of Prima Luna, Korato (worth seeking out - albeit hard to find) and Melody should keep anyone all warm and fuzzy..

My teasers: How about a mint, 2nd hand Pathos? or perhaps something from Graaf? There are some really good deals out there for the taking.
