Hi, I'm Pavel from Slovakia.
I'm a computer networks engineer, who likes to travel, play guitar, cook and do some sports (maybe more 'have to' than 'like' with all those amounts I like to eat :)). And when relaxing, I like to listen to rock 'n roll, metal, electronic and chillout music (also jazz, classics, pop and many other genres, but not that often).
For the past I don't know how many years I wanted to have a stereo system and now that we have our own place, I'm finally building one. AoS already both helped and inspired me with the Technics mods (which was my dream table since about forever) so now, when I got one, I know whom to thank for not having money, for the time I'll be doing the mods :) The Techie will have SAE 1000LT cartridge and Achromat installed as the starting point.
The rest of the system consists of these:
MM tube phono preamp Canor (http://www.canor-audio.com/en/Tube-Amplifier-products_tp206.php)
Teac A-BX10 (http://www.thevintageknob.org/teac-A-BX10.html) integrated amplifier
BV audio Slim3D (http://www.bvaudio.sk/slim3d.htm) speakers
I use Talk 3 speaker cables, Oehlbach XXL1 interconnects and Van den Hul D-502 phono cable.
Not that everything is already connected and in place - we're just doing some works on our flat first. But most of it is already in the boxes waiting to be released :) I also have a second TT, which is AR EB101 with Linn Basik arm and Linn Adikt cartridge.
In general, I don't like to spend a lot of money, so as a start I was looking for 2nd hand stuff. Later I'm thinking of buying Slovak BV audio integrated amplifier, as buying directly from the source should give you the best value, right? Especially when I remember those goosebumps listening to Sultans of Swing from Alchemy Live album. But who knows... first we need to finish the room, the mains, some acoustics stuff and only then I can start to finalize the system. I want to build one that will last for years.
So that's basically me and my future system. For now I'm okay with my Technics, Hifiman 2 headamp and Grado SR325is'.
