View Full Version : SME 3009R problem
I've just fitted a 3009R on my TD 150, adjusted the suspension, got it bouncing nicely and all levelled but the arm keeps swinging to the right, away from the spindle no matter what I do. Adjusting the lateral balance helps a little but does not get rid of the problem. I'm at a loss (and rather disappointed as I've been looking forward to putting the new arm on). Anyone got any bright ideas here?
Thanks in advance.

Have you got the bias/anti skate fitted ?
If you have, then remove it whilst setting up.
No, not fitted while setting up. Followed the set up instructions to the letter....

I found that by cleaning the spot under the arm that rests on the lift and the lift surface itself this could be kept to a minimum. Also reduced the Anti-skate value a little, definitely a balancing act
Got there in the end. The internal arm wire was twisted and after much poking around everything is sorted. Thanks for you suggestions, chaps!
Sounding very nice too now I might add.
