Currently in the midst of selling one system (Cyrus 8vs2 and B&W CM5's) to make way for an active speaker system to be fed via iTunes etc...
Also looking for another amp to make a 2nd system just for me upstairs away from SWMBO and it total P&Q :D
Looks a good forum so cant wait to get nattering ;)

Well my main system is a Cyrus StreamXP, Cyrus XPower power amp, x2 PSX-R's and Monitor Audio GX100's (could soon be looking to get some B&W 805's though and Cyrus mono's...
2nd system will revolve around my ever lasting Acoustic Energy AE109's :D
Thinking along the lines of a decent Arcam integrated and music via iTunes/Apple TV2 and a DAC...

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum from me to :) Go active, you know you want to :D
I'd never consider going back to a passive set of speakers in my main setup again :nono: But that's just me, I don't dislike passive speakers as I use them in other setups, but they don't get used very often ;)
Hope you enjoy your stay here

Hi
Yeah tempted by active but not just yet...
Only heard the ADM9.1's and in all honesty; didn't like them. Bass shy and a bit plain

Can't say I have ever heard any ADM models, quite a few active ATCs though :)
My speakers were originally passive & completely different to what they are now enclosure wise & driver complement.
Loves a bit of DIY myself :eyebrows:

Ah you see I'm not that brave! Well I'm ok with cars but not when it comes to speakers etc...
I'm better at breaking/bending things rather than fixing them/modifying them!
I did initially think about the EPOZ Aktimate speakers but I didnt think they'd cater for the sound and bass-depth I like but I'm sure better can be had for a few more hundred £££!
