Tax on Pasties and strikes on fuel, it's hard not to look at this from a surreal point of view as it sounds like a Python sketch but it's bloody happening ladies and gentlemen.

Shopkeeper: Good morning Madam
Lady: Good morning, could I take 3 Pasties please
Shopkeeper: Sorry Madam you can't have any Pasties, they are all out on strike
Lady: Whhhhhaaaat!... oh well, in that case I'll have a pint of petrol
Shopkeeper: Sorry madam, Petrol is on ration as of (looks at his watch for a few seconds).. NOW! Only a tea cup per week per person, per household.
Lady: A teacup?... Per person, per household? I can't live on that. What am I going to drink with my Pastie?
Shopkeeper: That's progress Madam, take the giant Larch for example.

Cut to court room:
Judge: Mr Larch, you heard the case for the prosecution. Is there anything you wish to say before I pass sentence?
Prisoner: Well... I'd just like to say, m'lud, I've got a family... a wife and six kids... and I hope very much you don't have to take away my freedom... because... well, because m'lud freedom is a state much prized within the realm of civilized society.

Toke!

Osborne slaps VAT on pastry sold above ambient temperature, British drivers queue for petrol as if there is a shortage and fuel strike, Engelbert announced as the next UK entry for the EuroVision, and George Galloway wins a seat in parliament against all odds. You couldn't have made any of that up, and we are only three months into 2012. The silly season has kicked off early this year.

uh... Total madness.

And George Galloway, thought we had rid of him for good that guy just ain't right in the head.

Trotter, cock, balls & Onion.... yummmmmie!

Or as my best mate's dad (who was a butcher) used to say - "eyes ears and arseholes" I think he was talking about sausages, but it could've been politics!

Have a listen to the album Don't Explain with Beth Hart, top pick of 2011 for many people. Dust Bowl and Sloe Gin are good too, in fact I like all his catalogue, I don't play Black Rock often, so I guess that's my least favourite.

Unfortunately Sloe Gin (album) is not on Spotify
