Tim please don't think I am being rude. But how old are you? I thought you were in your 30s? But that looks like an older record.

.......I'm slightly concerned to see that on my 18th birthday, the No.1 was Billy Joel - 'Uptown Girl'. I think my tastes are more aligned to the earlier part of my life!

'Yesterday' The Beatles (a popular beat-combo of the time, I believe)
It's all very well electing to tell folks that it was The Beatles Mark, but what you don't reveal is that 'Yesterday' was only No.1 in America - it wasn't released as a single in the UK in 1965. I'm not sure of the actual date of your birthday but you could be stuck with Ken Dodd mate!
Hmmm. According to This Day In Music, Australia, Canada and Germany hadn't even invented charts when I was born. In the UK it was "The Loveliest Night of The Year" by Mario Lanza and Anne Shelton, so I can state on good authority that the number one hit on the day you were born has absolutely no effect on your subsequent musical taste!
You might think that the no1 on your 18th was more significant.
Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) - Edison Lighthouse.
Nope...
Amen Corner - (If Paradise Is) Half As Nice

18th Birthday: Blondie - The Tide Is High

What's wrong with all this?
1966, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (featuring guitarist Eric Clapton), appeared at The Marquee Club, London, England.
1966, Cliff Richard joined evangelist Billy Graham on stage at Earls Court London and talked about his discovery of the Christian faith.
1966, The Beatles made a surprise live appearance on the UK television program Top of the Pops, performing ‘Paperback Writer’ and ‘Rain’. It became The Beatles' last live musical television appearance, with the sole exception of the June 1967 worldwide transmission of ‘All You Need Is Love’.
