I think a couple of others here are using/trying XBMC medi centre on Linux? I'm having a play with this plug-in that allows access to spotify from within XBMC - without any of the hassles of running Wine or any other emulators. Early days, but so far I'm impressed. It's still an alpha release, so may not be entirely without issues, but I've not come across anything yet.

caveats:

Requires the latest XBMC release 'Eden' - it won't run on 'Dhama'
Requires a spotify premium account - I've just started a 30 day free trial to see how I get on with this before forking out my £9.99 per month

TO install Spotimc, go to https://github.com/mazkolain/spotimc/downloads and download the latest zip file. Save it in a folder (local or network) that is accessible to your XBMC box. From the XBMC main menu, select 'add ons' and 'install from zip file'. Navigate to your saved file and press enter.

Spotimc should now appear under "Music add-ons" in the "Music" menu.

Hi keith, you got a 30 days trial software, right? Try to download the specific software using u-torrent or Bit-torrent software which are easily available in the internet. And also download the corresponding patch or key-gen of the software for registration/activation purpose of the software. Hope this will solve your difficulty...
