Unfortunately, I never hear anything at all from the elderly couple next door to me. I say unfortunately, because if I did, I'd feel less guilty about turning the wick up occasionally.

a couple of years ago the teenagers from next door must have gotten a hold of some dj gear and a microphone and would have happy-harcore parties where they'd take turn to 'MC'...

did I mind? Hell no... It was hilarious, I'd happily switch off my own tunes to have chukle at their rhymes and ramblings all done at 1000 bpm!

On one occasion i did try a bit of mischief and pointed my speakers towards the wall and played Aphex Twin's Windowlicker at em... It stopped them dead in their tracks... I just dont think they'd ever heard anything quite like it before and presented so well either!

I'm now waiting for the next stage in their musical evolution when the young chaps decide to bring some zeppelin and floyd home with em...it will happen sooner or later

Well if you live in a terrace house you have to make compromises. In truth she is a lovely girl who I do get on with plus the racket she makes means that she can hardly complain about the racket I make.:eyebrows:

Actually it ws a lot worse when she had two dogs, the bastard things used to howl all night.

Actually the people before her were a lot worse - DIY at 0700: 'just got up so I think the best thing to do is I'll start ripping up the floor in the bedroom'. They had a newborn baby too and believe me when that little fecker was going at full chat it was stripping the artex off the walls :eek:

I can't listen loudly at all now. I've had a written warning 2 years ago about me sounds. Even although we have new neighbours I still always play music with reason. We have a guy above and a nice lass below. The young whipersnappers through the wall are only ther temporary as it's a homeless flat. But every friday night the bboom bboom goes up to 11 but I don't hear it as bad as my downstairs neighbour.

A lot of people who wouldn't usually complain about noise pollution do complain about dance music becasue it is so repetative - like a pneumatic drill or a burglar alarm going off. Which I can sort of understand. What pisses me of is people who go running stright to teacher instead of just having a quiet word first to see if a resolution acceptable to both parties can be found, y'know, like grown men used to do before 'Government' arrived?
