The Russ Andrews 2012 catalogue was delivered to me today. Flicking through I noticed the Kimber Select KS-6068 speaker cables. They cost £26228.00. Seems a little pricey.. it's that extra £8 that really makes all the difference. Although it's true I haven't heard them myself I felt relieved to read on the opposite page that Russ "isn't the only one who thinks they're really good cables".

During a period of too much money, no sense and no other half, I once owned a pair Kimber Bi-Focal XL.

They were 'only' £1700 per 8ft pair at the time....

The Russ Andrews catalogue is a comic... something to laugh at. The prices they put to cables especially is pathetic and I'd love to know if they actually sell anything priced at the top end of 'their' scale. I seriously doubt it, maybe to eastern customers?

I'm sure some of the stuff is great stuff but to me no cable is worth that much. I'd rather buy a rather nice second hand Audi, lol. But saying that, it's the punters choice albeit 'fault' for being so gullible for falling for such a glossy scam in the first place.

Does anyone understand the Zapperators?... haha, just the name alone makes me dubious .

My Kimber KS-3035 speaker cables are now priced north of £5500. I paid a fraction of that for them back in 2001 or so. They are good, but see the Tellurium Q thread where I think they have met their match.

Speaking of ludicrous cable prices, how about Siltech's "Emperor Crown Signature" (really? how could you possibly come up with a name like that?)?
A 2.5 meter set will set you back 35.639 euros. A set of jumper cables is "only" 3.112 euros.
