Welcome Tim, but I don't think you'll find many Bose fans here to keep you company  .

Hi Tim. Don't worry about Dave's comment, he's only jealous:D

Just out of interest how much is a Bose Wave and Sound Dock. Their ads don't ever tell you!

Rob,
You can go off people you know  . That was the voice of experience talking, my wife and daughter both have Sound Docks so I have had lots of listening to them. SQ is not their main virtue (trying to be non-provocative here ;) ).
When ours were bought, £250 to £300 springs to mind.
And don't you just hate ads that don't mention price? - surely a major factor, if not the major factor, in most people's buying decision. It tells you a lot about their Marketing strategy IMO, most of which I do not find attractive :) .
Dave.

Well, Sir David.... I have seen (somewhere) prices around £900!!!! (gulp...choke):eek::eek:

Don't you just love the gullible:scratch:

I had better qualify that comment. I suspect that they sound good enough for those who want a "one box fits all" solution. It's only us "nutters" that waste our time with more than one box!

Hi Tim and welcome to AoS. Don't worry about the Bose comments, we are a broad-minded community for the most part. Music first!

However, if/when you want to upgrade there will be lots of helpful advice for you.

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum from me to :) Some of the earlier Bose kit wasn't bad imo, the 301 speakers spring to mind, while they were certainly different from the norm they were still quite musical

I hope you enjoy your stay here..
