A lot of folks will already know me from my membership of the Wam, and my appearance at Scalford, but I thought it was time to join AoS, having had it recommended by several people.

So here I am - I've got five turntables, nine amplifiers, well over twenty pairs of speakers, and 14,000 lps, so I am a bit of a nutter for music.

14,000 LPs! :eek: I doubt if there is anyone here who can match that, though I do have four TTs, eight arms, at least 15 cartridges, at least six amps, but only three sets of speakers.

I hazard to ask what your tastes in music are - I assume with a collection that size, your tastes must be pretty broad! :)

Hi John, welcome to the forum from me to :) I don't know how many pairs of speakers I have as I can't remember :scratch: Probably less than you though :eyebrows:

Yes 14,000 records are a bit OTT, not least on the floorboards! A majority of them are classical, but I also have several thousand of other stuff - reggae, 60s, 70s, 80s, jazz, swing, music hall, comedy, prog rock, glamrock, Jamaican ska, etc.

I don't use all the speakers, obviously, but I do have three systems on the go at any one time so with rotation use quite a bit of my stuff regularly.

Not an expert on anything, but music in general is my whole life, apart from my family.
