Please dont take the PI$$ with me guys! I'd just like an honest opinion. I have a ATC preamp fitted to ATC active speakers. I should imagine a pre-amp is all I need for the ATC speakers, BUT! Would there be any further benefit in adding an additional power amp to take some of the strain away from the pre-amp? If this is the case I'd like recommendations as well. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mark, I really trust your opinion. I'll save my money for some other stuff :eyebrows:

Well I'm pleased about that :eyebrows:

To put some flesh on the bones so to speak, your ATCs already have three power amps per channel with a high impedance input which is fed from your pre amp...

There are no other speakers to drive, so yes, spend your wonga somewhere else :D

I'm thinking about getting some Tannoy speakers for my valve setup.

Not only wouldn't there be any advantage (as Mark states), it wouldn't even be possible.

Only if you wanted to fry the ATC amps..
