ESS Sabre ES9012, ES9023 or Wolfson 8741 ???

Hi folks !

Which of these you would choose, based purely on audible sound quality?

Although ES9023 looks like lower-end ES9006 (compared to ES9012) with integrated op-amp, I'm not sure that difference is really audible.

I'm going to construct and assemble PCB myself (with USB & SPDIF and possibly i2S). Schematics seem to be very typical and are freely available without royalties.

Another option is Wolfson 8741, which have clear advantage - availability of open source Linux drivers. On paper ESS seem to be better, additionally, ES9023 requires simpler PCB.

So I have a dilemma :-)
