Today is the national day of mourning in Belgium as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of 22 of their young. I saw the minute's silence on the Belgian news channel, VRT Nieuws, and it has really upset me.

I just cannot even begin to understand the absolute devastation their parents, friends and families must be going through right now - for it's not just the lives that are wasted, but it's the absolute devastation of those that remain who, somehow, have to find the strength to carry on.

I have a deep religious faith that I don't express very often, but I pray to God that He will give them that strength and comfort that they so badly need right now.

Big thumps up Dave and nuf respect to you. As a man of faith myself, I included them in my prayers today. We are fortunate enough to have a faith room where you can go and pray at my place of work. I was alone in there so it was peaceful. I truly feel for the school, children, families and communities affected. I can barely imagine being a father myself what it must be like. It would be too much to bare for me and my wife - hurts to the core if you even try to comprehend the pain and loss. God bless those left behind as you say, that he strenghens, comforts and holds them up by HIS spirit til he returns and the days of death, pain, suffering and strife are over, replaced by a new heaven and earth and HIS Kingdom - a place of joy eternal - The good book says he will wipe the tears from their eyes. Lets love one another as HE taught us and give thanks and praise for each day and every moment cause we know not what tomorrow brings - Love and Gods blessing to them and everyone.
