Since getting my HD650s I rarely use the 595s.

These were serviced by Sennheiser at the beginning of the year and have new pads, headband and side housings. Hence these are like new - with the exception that they've already been run in. :)

In Sennheiser's product line they're recently been superceded by the HD598s - which have the same performance but a dubious cream and fake wood veneer finish. So in performance terms they come just under the HD600/650 pair.

Yours for £65 including UK shipping.

Anyone needing a decent pair of Headphones should snap these up...my pair is about 4 years old and still sound excellent for the money. £65 is a very fair price.

That is a very good price indeed, these often go on eBay for around 80.00 plus shipping - good luck with the sale, fantastic headphones which I also used to own prior to getting my 650's :)

John & Tim, thanks for the comments. I'd rather sell to an AoS member at a fair price knowing they'd be appreciated than sticking them on the 'Bay for a fast buck. Here's hoping . . .:)

I forgot to say that the Sennheiser service (thanks for the tip on that one Tim!) cost about £40 . . .

So very tempted. Not that there's anything wrong with my Grado sr80's but I do like the warm Sennheiser sound.

Opinion: would these be an upgrade on the Grados?

If you went for these Lee I'd refund the cost less shipping if you didn't like them ...

Indeed! They didn't hang around for long, and are now on their way to their new owner . . .:D

I don't know if I can be just a 1-can owner. Have been looking at some Denon AH-D7000s  Very expensive, but to mangle a TV ad, its "because I'm worth it"! :rfl:

Hey Bob, thanks for that offer. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I was going to pass this time round.

Glad you've made the sale anyway.

Cheers

Arrived today (24hr delivery) and loving them - currently enjoying Hugh Laurie, Let Them Talk without the washing machine accompanying the speakers! :) . Currently playing via my old rotel amp, I think its the first time in its 15 year life that the phones sockets been used - it was going up into the loft, guess its had a reprieve at least until I can find a Gatorised Caiman dac.

Cheers Bob

It shows the Post Office can pull their finger out if they want to :). I'm sure you'll enjoy them, Claire.

Have you read this thread (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9093) on headphones - some interesting thoughts about headphone amps, not all expensive ...

The 595s certainly benefit from dedicated amplification, but will also work happily from normal headphone outlets. As ever it's down to choice and money!
