I want to replace a two storey bay to the front of my house and got a quote from Safestyle UK that is very cheap. Just wondered if anyone has used them and if their work is ok? The quote is cheap and tempting but I don't want a bodged job.

The rules where builders are concerned are inspect previous work of a similar nature that they've done ,check out previous clients, get more than one quote, get a proper contract for the work.
Cheapest can often be the more costly in the end and not necessarily financial.
Bit chilly playing the old joanna?

95% sure that they were the firm that did all my folks' windows and doors around 2002(West Lancs area). My parents were chuffed.

I recently replaced all the windows and looked at Safestyle as one of the possibles. I did a Google search and it was no surprise to find a forum packed with disgruntled Safestyle customers who said that their windows had a horrible brown tint to the glass - allegedly. A friend of mine had his windows replaced by Safestyle and he was pleased. I don't like any type of question marks hanging over my decisions with a big expenditure, so instead I chose a company I had used around 10 years ago at a previous property.

Thanks Frank,
They have pestered the arse off me to get this job but, along with your comment, I have heard a few bad things about them. One thing I didn't like was a comment that they would get the job done in a day. It's a two storey load bearing bay with a central door, the main feature of the house and a big job to replace. I have now made up my mind that a local company will get the job if they are anywhere in the same price range.
