I used to have scads of these RCA 6LQ6 from the 1960's,they where used in some Mclintosh amps in the 60's because 1 tube can produce 50watts!
I am dreaming of the possibility of a SES amp a single ended sweep tube amp.
50 watts per channel so a 50 watt per channel pair of mono blocks would only need 1 tubes each. The min. would be 30 watts per tube with reduced filament
voltage on tubes made after 1980.

Has anyone thought of doing this?
