Did you ever wonder why some music seems to give you a rich experience no matter what you're listening to it on and no matter the medium (cd, LP, etc.)
- car radio, boom box, whatever, while other music, or artists, needs at least a decent hi-fi to reveal it's magic and maybe only on vinyl? For example, I can feel very lucky listening to Billie Holiday or Django Reinhardt on just about anything, but when I listen to classical pianist Vladimir Sofronitsky CD just doesn't deliver the goods, all the nuances seem to be gone.
