Super system Jan,
I used to sell the Tandbergs and the quality of build and performance were excellent, that tuner is one of the best I've ever heard.
I always wanted one of those Tascam tape decks, built like tanks.
Rock on and enjoy!!

regards Al

No idea how I have missed all the gorgeous equipment in this thread

Now those are some pretty serious speakers you have there, well done! No point in pussyfooting about if you want to move some air :D

There is a 56" TV sitting in between my speakers as well as a 120" screen on the wall...

It's called AV & in case you hadn't noticed I mod the AV forum along with Mike (jac hawk).

I rarely watch TV, but my wife does. So we have an agreement, she watch TV and I is allowed to have those speakers...:)

I never watch TV, it & the projector are for films on silver discs only :)

Big motha speakers rule, if you wanna 'feel' bass, as well as hear it! The Kappas look roughly the same height as my Lockys, but those are about 2.5 times as wide! :eyebrows:

Enjoy, Jan - bet it sounds fab! :gig:

A very fine system, Jan. Congratulations. I especially like those Infinity speakers  - I used to have a pair of Infinity RS2.5 ribbon hybrids - a fab sound.

Yup, I've got a screen between my speakers too - 42 inch plasma - great for watching Gilbert & Sullivan operettas with Mrs J - in fact, Lindsey is the L in JANDL :). I've got loads of concert DVDs, as well as a goodly collection of SciFi movies. Not connected up as a TV though. :nono:

Oooo - and I love the looks of that Denon direct drive tt

Wow - missed this when you posted earlier!

It's excellent to see someone with a reel to reel and an Elcaset deck integrated into their main system. Do you have much stuff on Elcaset? The EL5 was a fine looking machine. I have an EL7 :)

I have some new Elcaset tapes where I do some recordings from Spotify or downloaded music from HD-Tracks. It sounds nice..:)
