Having tried one in my system I know what it can do, and that it can stand just about any system upgrade I'm ever likely to throw at it. So I want one! :eek:

Not too easy to find for sale as most owners are not easily parted from them. But hey, if you don't ask....

That's simple, there's not enough margin in them for retailers while keeping the US/UK price ratio sensible enough to attract customers. Give dealers enough margin and they no longer offer VFM.

.... there's not many used ones around either, never mind new. I doubt I'd want to stretch that far anyway.

Ali's sort of given me an idea. If a used one doesn't show up I might ask if Nick could come up with a Pre seeing as I'm also on the lookout for a phono stage too.

Dunno what you intend to spend Mike, but Nick's "Little Martha" two box pre is far and away the best pre I've ever heard. Not cheap though!

audio emotion had one for 1995 recently

and then acoustic arts had one for 2495 [both sold ]
