Shiny metal drivers ;) That's what they sound like but the Meridian should help here..

Hi martin,they are very smooth sounding especially with the ribbon tweeters lovely sounding speakers and bags of bass laods of detail sound a lot bigger than they are very surprising little speaker great reviews on them everywhere

Nice system, Dan! I thought one of the best sounds at Whittlebury last year was made by Elac standmounters driven by a little Creek cdp and integrated ... lovely, with not a hint of metallic 'zing'. First time I'd heard Elacs, and was very, very impressed for the money being asked.
