For those that like vintage analogue sources here's one I made earlier:lol:

The full story of my find and what it's like are on my Musicosis blog HERE (http://musicosis.blogspot.com/) Please have a look:)
"None of that DAB muck here...."
I do hope you're right, but I understand, perhaps incorrectly, that the FM sender is fed with the identical DAB signal, and all that goes with it..... and is just re-coded to FM by various means....
Welcome also to the Lenco owners' club. before ripping the arm out and selling it on/binning it, see what it can do in fettled condition. I have a mate who is successfully using a Pickering XV15/625, a Stanton 681EEE (with brush) and a Shure M75-ED () with no issues and a claimed wonderful sound, simply by getting the original deck in perfect and clean working order (Desmo V blocks too)

A mate of mine from BBC Radio Engineering told me that the audio signal that is fed to Sky and Freesat is at a higher bitrate and sampling frequency and that the quality reduction for DAB occurs after this split. Having done some audio comparisons this seems right, but I have made no proper measurements as yet. I will let you know more when I have.:)
