My Charisma Elite came back from Glenn yesterday.
Turn around time was only a few days. This is beyond belief - it has been the single best upgrade Iīve ever done to any piece of equipment.
It was good, no great already - Glenn took it to sublime for a very reasonable price.
Circuit upgraded to most recent spec, some cabling and sockets changed, duel valve HT regulation, extra transformer and new PSU caps. On top changing the two ECC82īs to either 12BH7 or ECC99. Finally the switch on muting relay was added.
The Duelund PIOīs and Copper Virtual Stack Foils were mine already and remained in the amp, as they donīt come any better than this already.
Tubes are currently:
50īs RCA Long Black Plate 12BH7a + Mullard CV4004 Boxplate for the linestage
Regulation is done by two Valvo Hamburg ECC83īs and a Mullard 85A2.
Phonostage comprise of 2 x TJ Full Music and a JJ ECC99 (playing around with this one, but like this combo).
Just wanted to share - Glenn is a number one guy by ANY measure..
