Wanted - DAC with optical and coaxial input.

Hi all,

I need a decent(ish) DAC to connect my Apple TV2 optical out to my Marantz amplifier.

Ideally needs 2 optical and 2 coaxial inputs with auto switching, so maybe a Caiman Plus (no usb) or Dacmagic. Doesn't need a variable output, USB or headphone socket.

I'm open to suggestions, so what do you have?

I can speak for the Caiman which is rather good in stock form and can be easily upgraded. Stan offers an AoS discount here, too.

The new Bushmaster has exactly the spec that I need, plus has the tweakability that I want. But it's not available yet :(

So, I either need something else that has the right number of inputs or something with a minimum of one optical input as a temporary solution to use until the Bushmaster is available.

At the moment, I can't listen to my music :(:(

Buy a Caiman and then upgrade to a Bushmaster? I doubt you'll have much difficulty selling the Caiman. Why not PM Stan (StanleyB)?
