Hello, I've been into the audio thing for about 12 years building and changing my system quite slowly over that time. My name is Alex and I'm based in Brighton. My system is rather Tom Evans based except for my speakers which are Wilson Benesch. The system has taken some time but is now sounding really nice. Would like to see what a pair of Linear B's would sound like in my system . I am However, not really in that league right now. My music taste is very mixed.

Hi Alex,

I had a Trichord Genesis for a while. Cost me a massive £500 in the 90's. I sold it to a mate a few years ago. Now I know what I know now, I think I must have been barking to have paid that for a very mildly modded Pioneer player. All it was was a Clock 2 and power supply.

I once had a client who worked with Trichord on development and he was going to get me a base that was attached to the even more expensive CD player (can't remember the name) but never got it!

On the subject of Trichord I am still running a pair of Alectos ( Graham Fowler, Trichord) with A Tom Evans Vibe/pulse and it's a fantastic combo. Those mark1 Alectos still sound excellent.

hi Alex - thanks for doing the intro thing. :) Looks like you have some interesting kit there. Appreciate you've found us through the classifieds, but hopefully you'll enjoy it now you've found the fellow "inmates" are friendly, and hope you'll stick around. :) Welcome to AoS.

Many thanks for the friendly welcome. Would have really liked to have come to the show just gone and meet some real enthusiasts and hear some great systems but work demanded my presence. Oh well, next time. Look forward to posting more when the new bits of my system really settle down.
