Money in the bank? Hmm, all I can say is that I've just blown a giant hole in the retirement savings account with a pair of big Tannoys. Hopefully, I get some years' enjoyment and then sell them for more than I paid. Interest rates on savings are a joke, anyway ...

The enthusiasm for Croft gear here without doubt encouraged me to upgrade my 25 pre rather than try others (I didn't even know GC upgraded lower spec. units). A lot of money for me but never regretted.

Very likely to have saved in the long run as I can't see myself wanting to change this.

Spend ? AOS ? Yes lol !! About £1K (Wife would literally have a fit :eek:) and still looking at upgrading my Timestep psu and maybe a better platter for my Techie. In fact I've always cut any credit cards up without even using them. The last one I received has been used mainly all on da Techie due to AOS addiction :rolleyes: :mental: A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do ;)

I try to keep hifi a zero-sum game and gains come from finding bargains and selling them at a more normal price when they're eventually passed on or sometimes swaps.

Well, Collins thread about binding posts got me to spend at least $250.00 U.S. this month.
I ordered copper posts 2 compleate sets of 4 from China that I am still waiting on. I gave up and ordered a compleat set of Cardas, ordered binding post plates and had them engraved.
Then realized I needed some new tips for my old solder gun and bought a new/used gun just for the rare heavy tips it came with and 12 new light duty tips and a Milwaukee 2 1/2 inch hole saw and Cardas solder and the Cardas insulators.
So AOS is good for the economy!
