Im using ipeng on my itouch which is working well with stored files but i cant work out how to control spotify on it. In the main menu i can see squeezebox software but once i register spotify does not appear. Any ideas?

You might be more likely to get the appropriate help at http://forums.slimdevices.com/
This is not the official Logitech forum, but a hangover from pre Logitech days - that said there are many members there who may have had similar hardware/software issues to the ones you have.
Sent a few emails to coolio , the chap who produced the app. He tried his best but did not understand what was going on. When i switch to mysqueezebox from the logitech media spotify should show up but its not there. Pity that would have been nice , searching spotify with the itouch. Next plan isto get a very long optical lead so i can plonk the SB on my desk.

Ah, so it's a mysqueezebox.com problem then?
Don't bother with it meself (mysqueezebox.com) - whenever I'm using Squeezebox it's via LMS running on a Win7 PC.
That would have been the sensible option but i dont know if i could control squeezebox with LMS on the itouch. Hope to get a vortexbox unit and hopefully controlmy files with the ipeng. Unless you think other wise.

Haven't played with iPeng at all (no fruit based computing stuff around here), but if you can play music files via LMS using iPeng then you should be able to access the Spotify stuff too.
You might need to use the actual Squeezebox remote to wake things up, but beyond that iPeng should be sufficient to control it all.

I use both iPeng and Squeezepad, but not with a Touch, rather an SB3. Using that combination I can access Spotify using user Triode's 3rd party plugin, and running the Squeezebox server on my Mac. I understand that the Touch may be able to work directly from Squeezebox.com, but that isn't an SB3 feature so I can't comment. One thing, using Triode's plugin, it may appear under Internet Radio, rather than under Apps. I think that is slightly version dependent from what I recall.
It's good being able to search through everything using these iPad apps. They're not perfect, but pretty good, considering.
Occasionally there are glitches, sometimes after a server update. This can turn out to be due to a password refresh, and is fairly easily solved once diagnosed.
Squeezebox remote is working fine for spotify , its just my eyes and back that dont work to good

Mmmm. Why did I write that? !!!
I seem to have lost my players from my Squeeze system, and now trying to use iPeng and Squeezeplay appears to identify the wrong things. Something's changed, and I now seem to have to go round reinstalling everything, without great success, unfortunately. Pity. When they work they're fine, but when they go wrong ....!!!
Anyone else been down these roads lately? Maybe I need to update iPeng and Squeezepad, but then that would require more hassle. I'm not in a particularly friendly mood towards computers and software right now.
I had problems with it at first but then i contacted the developer and he advised downloading spotify 3rd party app on LMS. Works like a dream now.
I change nothing but some days it works and others It doesn't
I have to go through passwords and resets as well at times, I had issues with spotify yesterday where there was no sound coming out of the USB but it was fine in iTunes and everything else and also had sound coming out of the computers own speakers, rebooted a couple of times and fiddled a bit by changing USB ports and eventually it worked again
they are good when good but drives you mad when they don't play nicely together
Im thinking of getting a vortebox unit but i would be very pissed if the ipeng didnt recognize it.
