Hi everyone,
Just a few lines to introduce myself.......I have been teaching art for 37 years, and head of a busy comprehensive school art dept. for 20. I have a special interest in ceramics.
My other passion is music.....all sorts.
I plan to retire soon and have promised myself a new system, probably valves/tubes based, and I may have a go at making some speakers. Ted Jordan says he is revising some of his units. So who knows?
Any advice, ideas, will be most welcome

What part of Wales are you from? I'm in Wrexham. My wife is also a teacher (college lecturer) in Deeside, where she teaches art and IT - yes an interesting combo!

Hi Marco,
thank you for the welcome. My musical tastes range from Neil Young, Dylan, to Mahler and lots of jazz with a side order of blues. Recently I have discovered an interest in early music, Tallis etc. I like anything that moves me, sends a shiver up the spine.
My system consists of a Nottingham Analogue spacedeck with a mentor arm, Tom Evans the Groove, Tom Evans modified cd player and Trichord DAC. Michell monoblocks, Argo pre amp and hera power supply. Speakers are old Mission 730's. All quite old now.

I would love a valve based system for my converted attic room and would appreciate your views on Anthony Matthews amps, apparently he lives near me, although I haven't had time to find him yet. I live north of Caerphilly.
