I have a silver plated plug and kettle connector but need a short length of decent shielded mains cable. Dont need anything fancy. 600mm-1m would do fine, scruffy is ok with me :)
Willing to pay postage and a bit extra.
pm your address boss
not a problem

A huge thank you to David Brook (Mains Cables R Us) for sending me a length of Supra Lo-Rad 2.5mm mains cable FOC.:D Not only that he sent an audio-tune up disc.:eyebrows:
What a great firm, many thanks.
I have used Supra Lo-Rad and IMO it is pretty good.
Rob.

Is it right that the shielding (silver foil stuff) should be connected to earth at the mains plug end only?
NO
The lo-rad has a semi-transparent earth which induces the faraday cage effect without connecting the foil.

New cable now complete. So for anyone making a cable, check you have the right IEC plug for the cable. The thicker cables will not fit in the standard IEC, you need the Wattgate type. In my case I got an Isokinetic one.
It's much easier to just order a complete cable from Mains Cables R Us!
